A dance group is a set of dancers united by ethical and artistic-creative ideas aimed at the performance of a particular dance number.

The work of a choreographic group, is aimed at achieving goals meaningful to society (development of a program to create a concert, a performance or just an individual dance number) and includes the following moments:

familiarization with the material of the dance number chosen for the performance;
learning the movements;
creation of a certain image and character for each dancer of the group.

If in every preparation of the number for the performance, the participants of the dance group, follow the above rule, it guarantees the formation in each individual participant of diligence, will, attention, aspiration to the goal and perseverance.

In dance groups, the need for communication is also satisfied, certain experiences are exchanged, and friendly ties with individual members are strengthened.

Stages of dance group training
Collective of dancers can be called mature if they have already passed certain stages of formation.

The first stage is attending one dance group. As a rule, participants of the dance group, even formed in the team, try to study in detail only one style of dance.

Everyone who wishes is welcomed in the group, the members can be homogeneous (people of the same age or profession) or mixed (different age groups and professions). It is at this stage the development of the name of the dance group is carried out.

The following information is studied in dance groups:

The correct positioning of hands and feet;
learning of movements (they gradually become more complicated);
Analysis and development of rhythm and musicality.

To perform in front of an audience, this type of dance company will require a long time to train.

The second – stage is to attend dance studios. Their difference from the circle is that there attend dance groups are more differentiated, and the process of learning dance is carried out according to a clearly established plan.
