Thank Heaven for Little Girls

Imagine if we placed children centre stage.
Not young adults, but children.
Imagine if they were all girls.
What if we see girls doing lots of things?

Thank Heaven for Little Girls celebrates the ingenuity of play in children and asks what a world created by girls, where girls control the space and themselves, might feel like. Co-created by artist Jenni Jackson and a group of 15 girls aged 8-12, the piece uses dance, movement, tools and play to examine how girls are given - or can claim - agency both on and offstage.

Age Recommendation: Suitable for the whole family

Produced by The Incubator at the egg, Theatre Royal Bath, and Developed With at The Lowry. Presented in association with The Place.
