Professional Class at The Place aims to maintain your technical ability whilst also diversifying your practice. These classes are fast-paced and demanding, so you are expected to have completed full-time dance training or equivalent.

Class numbers are limited so we recommend booking in advance.
The classes take place in the Robert Cohan Studio (Studio 8) unless otherwise signposted and the space is open from 8:30. Latecomers will not be admitted after class has started and you must vacate the studio by 10:45.

invigorating contemporary classes blends Cunningham and Release technique in a class that will leave you feeling energised.
Imagery stimulates imagination and movement. Dancers are encouraged to explore their weaknesses and break old movement habits.
influenced by a diversity of traditional forms such as Flamenco, Kathak and martial arts, which are brought into a contemporary dance context
a series of exercises that shift through space, move in and out of the floor and push the body to its extremes.
The class will be a combination of principles from Flying Low originally created by David Zambrano and Leila’s further development.
A synthesis of Contact Improvisation, Partnering and Release Techniques, these classes are physical, challenging and dynamic.
