In 1994 Warwick Arts Centre saw the very birth of Richard Alston’s new Company. Now RADC returns on its Final Edition Tour, final because sadly this company will close next Spring. We are determined to go out with colours flying so have put together a celebration of this company’s unflagging creativity, two brand new works by Alston and by Martin Lawrance, and also key works revived from the Company’s history, a richly diverse mix of dance and music. We’re excited – but don’t miss us on this tour because afterwards we really are gone!
Red Run: Heiner Goebbel’s powerful music, evokes a terrain of shadows across which the dancers travel in nomadic clusters.
Alston’s new Voices and Light Footsteps, to the sensuously expressive music of Monteverdi, genius of the Baroque.
Mazur, a duet to Chopin played live, an intense outpouring of longing for his beloved homeland.
A Far Cry, Martin Lawrance’s new dance set to Elgar’s impassioned Introduction & Allegro. Brahms Hungarian, set to the hugely popular Brahms pieces, featuring pianist Jason Ridgway.
Venue: on tour
