Young dancers are invited to join dance artist Sarah Golding for a week of intensive workshops. Participants can expect to challenge themselves physically and creatively in these dynamic, invigorating sessions!

The day will be split into two halves as follows:

10.00-12.00 – Contemporary Dance Technique

12.00-1.00 – lunch (please bring a packed lunch each day)

1.00-3.00 – Creative

Previous experience is useful but not essential- just come with a willingness to be challenged! Please wear comfortable clothes, bring a bottle of water and a packed lunch. Young dancers will be supervised throughout the day, so you are invited to drop them at 10.00am and collect them at 3.00pm. Please note that on Fri 02 Aug, there will be a sharing of work created throughout the week. This will take place at 2pm in the theatre.

Sessions will run daily between Mon 29 Jul and Fri 02 Aug, 09.15am – 10.45am. Bookings are made in a one-off payment for the full week of sessions.

Upon arrival please sign in at reception with a member of the Children and Youth Dance Team, who will direct you to the studio.

We must receive a completed Participant Information Form (sent after booking) in order for your young dancer to participate. Please note that participants who are more than 15 minutes late will not be allowed to join the class due to our health and safety policy. For any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us via email (childrenandyouthdance@theplace.org.uk) or by phone (020 7121 1080).
