Energiser creates a challenging and expressive dance environment that encourages every participant to put their explorer head on and get ready to think about dance in a totally different way… learn to move individually and as a group, develop flexibility, musicality, strength and confidence.
What will the class actually involve?
Classes start with a warm up which focuses on energising and strengthening the body; for example foot exercises so we are balanced and articulate, floor work to warm up our spines and swing exercises to prepare our arms. This section of class is called ‘technique’ and also involves short routines and sequences to start working on musicality, timing, coordination and stamina.
The latter section of the class embraces young dancers’ creativity, working in small groups and individually, learning how to create choreography through creative tasks and games and explore your own unique way of moving.
Open Level - No previous dance/movement experience needed just enthusiasm and comfy clothes.
This is for young dancers in school years 3-6 (ages 7-11).
