Spring Loaded is a renowned showcase for some of the most refreshing artists choreographing in the UK.
The Place backs this conviction by investing in commissioning and initiatives that have enabled many of these artists to research, develop, create and rehearse their work. Since the season’s launch in 1987, this investment has spawned many household names, including Matthew Bourne, Wayne McGregor, Lloyd Newson, Shobana Jeyasingh, Lea Anderson and Russell Maliphant all presented some of their earliest works in Spring Loaded.
Spring Loaded 2012 runs from 17 April - 23 June and features performances from: Robert Clark, Darren Ellis Dance, Jonzi D, Sofia Dias and Vitor Roriz, James Wilton, Goddard Nixon, Jose Agudo, SMITH dancetheatre, Gabriele Reuter, Giuliana Majo, Magali Charrier, Gecko, Made by Katie Green, François Testory and Simon Vincenzi, Rahel Vonmoos, Vera Tussing, Company Chameleon, Colin Poole and Simon Ellis, Zoi Dimitriou, BLOOM! and Hofesh Shechter Company Dancers.
